Testimony

I am from High Point, North Carolina and grew up in a household that had Christian values. However, I did not have a personal relationship with Jesus. After graduating high school I moved to Durham, NC and went to college at North Carolina Central University. I did not take school seriously and loved to party, drink and chase women every week. In 2010, I moved back home and transferred to another university before dropping out of college the same year. Two years later,  I went back to college in August 2012 and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Management in July 2014 from the University of Phoenix.  

 

Thus, in October 2014 I got accepted into the Master’s degree program at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. However, the main reason I moved was of the lifestyle I was living in North Carolina, such as partying, drinking, etc.  I was tired of doing the same thing every week. Although I did receive my undergraduate degree I felt empty inside and wanted to relocate.  Therefore, I thought to move to Orlando, Florida was the only way to bring fulfillment into my life. 

 

Nevertheless, when I moved to Orlando, Florida I started indulging in the same lifestyle.  I was following the “American Dream” which will tell a person that once you have received a good job, house, the family then you will become successful and happy. But, 6 months into the pursuit of the Master’s degree and following the “American Dream” I felt emptier than before moving to Florida.
